In 1999, Kong Keqiang, the senior engineer and factory director of our company, began to experiment with the invention of a new type of perlite expansion furnace. In February 2003, he successfully developed the world's first set of vitrified perlite expansion furnace, named the KKQ Perlite Expansion and Vitrification Furnace. It was the first to be put into industrial production and was granted a national invention patent in 2005. 

This new type of perlite expansion furnace uses electric heating and microcomputer precise temperature control. The perlite produced is not only expanded but also vitrified, presenting a vacuum spherical shape. It can be called vitrified microsphere expanded perlite, or closed-cell vitrified microsphere perlite. Due to the fact that the vitrified microspheres are hollow with a vitrified outer layer, they have good strength and high water repellency, perfectly achieving the characteristics of water repellency, fire resistance, and insulation. They are highly suitable for use as exterior wall insulation and heat insulation materials. Vitrified microspheres are new inorganic, environmentally friendly, and green healthy materials. 

The invention of vitrified microsphere expanded perlite represents a historic revolution and innovation in the field of expanded perlite products. It has greatly expanded the application range and improved the performance of perlite products. This great invention cannot be overpraised. In the following two decades, the majority of the world's expanded vitrified perlite furnaces, over 2,000 sets of production lines, have been produced by our company.
